About
Sassa Moon is designed in the Far North of New Zealand and hand-dyed in the lush hills of Bali, where nature’s rhythm guides every step of the process. Each piece is made from certified organic cotton and European flax linen, naturally dyed with leaves, roots, and woods sustainably gathered from the surrounding landscape.
Our textiles are brought to life by family tailors in Bali, and we honour fair trade values, working in close partnership built on respect, trust, and care. Every garment carries the quiet spirit of the hands that made it — a reflection of craft, patience, and connection.
The plants we use — indigo, ketapang leaf, secang wood, coconut husk, mango, and cherry leaves — give each piece its own unique tone and texture. Every dye bath tells a quiet story of land, water, and sunlight — creating timeless garments that feel grounded, connected, and alive.
Sassa Moon is a love letter to nature — a meeting of two worlds, where New Zealand design and Balinese artistry merge in harmony with the planet.
